
Megan Piersma, M.Ed. | Dean of Career Integration
As the inaugural Dean of Career Integration, Megan serves as the chief strategist and visionary for the Saint Mary’s career ecosystem. She works to weave career readiness into the fabric of academic and student life with the goal of helping all students graduate prepared to lead and flourish both personally and professionally. Prior to joining Saint Mary’s, Megan served as the Senior Director of Career Success and External Engagement in the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, where she provided strategic leadership for the College in the areas of experiential and global learning, career development, employer engagement, and alumni engagement. Megan completed her Master's in Education with a focus on Higher Education Administration at the University of Michigan, where she also spent 18 years holding professional roles in admissions, student services, development, and experiential learning. Megan received an undergraduate degree in psychology and theology from Calvin University. She lives in Granger, Indiana, and enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, traveling, watching NCAA sports, and reading.

Stacie Jeffirs

Since 2008, Stacie has served as the Director of Career Services at Saint Mary's. She is a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) and Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP). She has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism and minor in Graphic Design, and a Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Services with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University South Bend.

Amanda Crocket

Amanda joined Career Services at Saint Mary's in July 2023. She previously worked in mental health, first as a case manager and then as an orientation and training specialist. In both these roles she did what she enjoys the most, helping people set and achieve their goals by addressing individual needs and building community partnerships, and she brings this passion to her role at Saint Mary’s. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Women and Gender Studies and a Master of Public Affairs with a concentration in Nonprofit Administration and Policy. When she is not working or studying, she can be found reading any book she can get her hands on or spending time with her daughter, who is the apple of her eye.

Georgie Mejia

Georgiana was born and raised in Romania and is a first-generation college graduate. She brings a deep understanding of the courage and adaptability it takes to bravely forge new paths. With a degree in Entrepreneurship from Central Michigan University and a background that spans corporate roles and three years as an Admission Counselor at Saint Mary’s, she knows what it takes to support both personal and professional growth. In her current role, Georgiana cultivates relationships with employers to create meaningful internships, jobs, and networking opportunities for students. She also works one-on-one with students—helping them uncover their strengths, follow their interests, and build confidence. Outside of work, she loves baking, cooking with her husband, hiking, attending concerts, traveling, and exploring new food scenes. She believes that every individual’s story matters, their talents are real, and their path doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s.

Emily Tice

Emily Tice serves as the Administrative Assistant for the PACE Center and Career Services at Saint Mary’s College. Since August 2022, she has managed administrative operations and supported student success across career planning initiatives. Emily earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Bethel University. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching films, and listening to music.

Francesca joined Career Services in February 2025. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Social Work with a minor in Gender and Women's Studies, intending to become a psychotherapist. Her continued experience in the office further inspires her passion for helping others and advancing her career aspirations. Francesca is excited to return to the team and support fellow students.

Eliana is a Communications major pursuing minors in Public Relations and Advertising. She enjoys creating content for the PACE Center and helping encourage students to take advantage of the many resources Saint Mary’s has to offer. Through her work with the PACE team, Eliana hopes to gain meaningful experience while continuing to support and empower students on their college journeys.
