Saint Mary’s College’s provides access to vision insurance upon employment for full time employees with coverage effective the first of the month after hire. Employees must pay the full premium to participate in this program.
There is a 30-day election period for employees to enroll. If an employee declines coverage upon hire, enrollment can occur only if the employee has a qualifying event OR applies during open enrollment. Open enrollment occurs during the month of November with an effective date of January 1.
Benefit coverage is available for employee, employee + one (1), or family coverage. The family plan covers the employee’s spouse and eligible dependent children until age of 26.
