Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Acclaimed Author, to Speak Here
Saint Mary’s Office of the President, Campus and Community Events, the Office of Multicultural Services, and the Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership (CWIL) are proud to welcome award-winning author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to campus for a lecture about her life and writing. The event will take place on Thursday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in O’Laughlin Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for the general public, and free to Saint Mary’s students, faculty, and staff (one ticket each). Dance Theatre of Harlem to Take Stage Here
Saint Mary’s College, in collaboration with Lampkin Magic Productions, will welcome the critically acclaimed Dance Theater of Harlem to campus on Wednesday, February 17. The public is invited to their performance, which will take place at 7:30 p.m. in O’Laughlin Auditorium. The event is part of this year’s Shaheen/Duggan Performing Arts Series at Saint Mary’s. “Room on the Broom,” a Production for Families
Saint Mary’s College will present the Tall Stories Theatre Company’s production of “Room on the Broom” on Saturday, February 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the Little Theatre of the Moreau Center for the Arts. China Night to Celebrate Chinese New Year
Saint Mary’s College will hold “China Night” Sunday, February 7 from 3 to 5 p.m. in Little Theater, Moreau Center for the Arts. A reception will take place at 5 p.m. outside O’Laughlin Auditorium. The event celebrates the Chinese New Year with a show of folk dances, traditional songs, instruments, Asian fashion show, and lottery drawing games. Children and students attending will receive a red envelope as a New Year gift, which is a Chinese festival tradition.

Higher Learning Commission Reconfirms College's Accreditation
Saint Mary’s College is pleased to announce that the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association continued (reconfirmed) the College’s accredited status. The College received word from the HLC in a letter dated February 12, 2016. In the fall of 2015, an HLC team came to campus and reviewed the College’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation.

Belles Fall in Heartbreaker to Comets
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Eight turnovers over the final ten minutes of play were a difference maker as the Saint Mary's basketball team was stopped short in a 52-49 conference contest against Olivet on Saturday afternoon.
