Alumna Brings Drake University Choirs to Campus (In the Bend)
Aimee Beckmann-Collier '75 will bring the Drake choir and chamber choir to campus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14 to sing at Church of Our Lady of Loretto. The College hosts the Drake visit every four years as part of Drake's choir tour of the Midwest. Beckmann-Collier received the Distinguished Alumna Award from the Saint Mary's Alumnae Association in 2010. Her choirs will sing with the Penn High School Women's Chorale and Mixed Choir. Valedictorian Brianne Michaels '15 "wowed" everyone at Commencement when she took a "selfie" at the podium at the beginning of her valedictory speech. Can't blame her. It was a moment to remember! The Huffington Post thought so too. The image is one of the most memorable photos to be taken this year at a women's college graduation.

“The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” Speaking Engagements Coming...
Saint Mary’s College is proud to welcome bestselling author Rebecca Skloot and David “Sonny” Lacks to campus on two separate occasions this month. Skloot, author of the New York Times Bestseller “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” will speak on Wednesday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. in O’Laughlin Auditorium. David Lacks, son of Henrietta Lacks, will speak on Tuesday, February 12 at 7:30 p.m in Carroll Auditorium, Madeleva Hall.

Even cloudy skies and showers could not dampen the spirits of Saint Mary’s College's Kristen Millar '15, alumna Grace Urankar '14, President Carol Ann Mooney and Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades, as a handmade stole, art, and letters collected by the college titled “Voices of Young Catholic Women” were presented to Pope Francis during his general audience on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Saint Mary’s College is proud to announce Angela McDonald-Fisher ’91, Legal Counsel for Rolls-Royce North America Inc., is the speaker for the 7th annual Multiethnic Commencement Celebration on Sunday, May 4. “I’m excited that Angela McDonald-Fisher is this year’s speaker. Selner Named MIAA Pitcher of the Week
