Belles in Sixth at Wabash Woehnker Invitational

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Saint Mary's swimming and diving team is currently in sixth place after day one of the Woehnker Invitational hosted by Wabash College.

The Belles have a team score of 29 after the first eight men's and women's events while only having competed in two events on the night. DePauw is leading the field with 143 points while Division II University of Indianapolis is second with 128 points.

Earning a bulk of the points for Saint Mary's was the 800 freestyle relay combination of Carolyn Neville, Anna Nolan, Emily Brown, and Ellie Watson. The group finished in ninth place with a time of 8:17.63.

Also competing on the night for the Belles was Paige Handy. The freshman finished 14th in the 1,650 freestyle in 20:21.73.

The two-day event begins tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
