Saint Mary's College, along with its WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP INITIATIVE and the CITY OF SOUTH BEND, will host three workshops this spring for professionals in the South Bend region to expand the conversation about the effects of sexual harassment in the workplace. 

The cost for a single workshop is $35 per person. Lunch will be provided.

Workshop #3
Sexual Harassment: A Guide to Recovery and Empowerment

The mental health effects of sexual harassment are substantial and vary from person to person. This workshop will introduce and discuss pathways to healing after experiencing sexual harassment and how employers — and employees — can create a workplace culture that rejects such behavior and nurtures victims toward empowerment.

What is Sexual Harassment? Looking Through Multiple Lenses

How is sexual harassment defined? How do the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the courts review a sexual harassment claim? A series of interactive case studies will help participants identify core principles for preventing and addressing sexual harassment in the workplace, illustrating how to put theory into practice.

Leading by example is integral to preventing, addressing, and establishing accountability for sexual misconduct. Leaders are in a position to facilitate a positive culture, effective training, and personal responsibility within their organizations. South Bend-area leaders will discuss how they work to create safe working environments.
