Who am I? How do I use my talents? Where is my place in the world? At Saint Mary’s, you will have the opportunity to ask questions like these and explore the answers on a pilgrimage to Peru, in a religious studies course, or on a campus retreat. There are many opportunities to grow in your faith and to learn more about what spirituality means to you.

Women of Action

Saint Mary’s women are faithful and responsive because they know that social justice, equality, and the human dignity of all are not things to be found or discovered, but to be acted upon. Here, you will learn how to live your faith and develop your spirituality in your residence hall, the classroom, in chapels across campus, and beyond.

Sisters of the Holy Cross

Our close connection to the Sisters of the Holy Cross, the sponsors of Saint Mary’s, provides a rich example of women of action, women of faith. You can get involved with the student club Friends with Sisters or attend Mass at the Church of Loretto.

Faith and Service at Saint Mary's

“We shall always place education side by side with instruction; the mind will not be cultivated at the expense of the heart. While we prepare useful citizens for society, we shall likewise do our utmost to prepare citizens for heaven.”

– Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau, founder of the Holy Cross congregations
