About Emma

Hello! My name is Emma Beaudoin and I am an Admission Counselor at Saint Mary’s College. I was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan. I first heard about Saint Mary’s from an alumna who worked at my high school. She told me about this “little school in Indiana” she thought I’d like, and when I came to Spring Day on Campus in my junior year, I fell in love and didn’t want to leave. Even then, I could tell that Saint Mary’s was a very close-knit and empowering community, which I loved and wanted from my college experience. I graduated in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in History. My four years at Saint Mary’s took me on so many adventures, including studying abroad in Ireland, working as a Resident Assistant, joining the Notre Dame Folk Choir, and becoming friends with amazing people! SMC truly made me the person I am today, and I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunities I had, and all of the memories I made here. I am so excited to share my love and passion for Saint Mary’s with future Belles and their families!

Getting to Know Emma

Current music you're listening to:
I love almost any type of music so it’s hard to narrow it down! Some of my top artists right now are The Lumineers, Taylor Swift, Lizzo, Harry Styles, and Hozier, just to name a few! I also have an awesome oldies playlist that I love to listen to.

Favorite sports team:
Any Detroit sports team, especially the Tigers. And the Fighting Irish, of course.

Your dream vacation:
I was very lucky to be able to travel throughout much of Europe when I studied abroad! Now, I would love to take a big trip around the world and visit at least one country on every continent. Some places I’d like to go include Sweden, Greece, South Africa, China, New Zealand, Mexico, and Argentina!

A TV show you just can't miss:
Abbott Elementary, Derry Girls, The Crown, and Grey’s Anatomy are some of my current favorites!

Your favorite thing about South Bend:
Fiddler’s Hearth, a local pub/restaurant, because it reminds me of Ireland, where I studied abroad and lived for two years after graduation!

Your favorite thing about Saint Mary's:
The community! Faculty, staff, fellow students, and even alumnae are incredibly supportive, and will do everything they can to help you succeed!
