Angelina Stupak and her Handprint Left Behind

Angelina Stupak ’26 looks back on all that has shaped her and prepared her for what's to come. Providing weekly campus tours has deepened Stupak’s appreciation for Saint Mary’s. “Now, as a senior, each tour has become quite emotional as I reflect on the wondrous four years this institution has provided me with,” says Stupak. Among a myriad of other student organizations, Stupak credits her time as Social Concerns Chair in the Student Government Association (SGA) with being fulfilling and providing her with direction for this year, when she was given the “highest honor” of serving as the student representative on the College's Board of Trustees for the 2025/26 school year.

Student Profile: Victoria Olabintan, Finding Community Through Faith On the very last day of her junior year of high school, Victoria Olabintan ’27 received a call from Destiny, a Saint Mary’s admission counselor, who encouraged her to check out the College. Olabintan, who came from a large high school of nearly 5,000 students, had never heard of Saint Mary’s, but she thought, “Because they took the time to call me, I will look into it and apply.” She eventually met Destiny and attended a preview day. Olabintan was so impressed that she began to fully immerse herself in the campus culture and what would end up being her Saint Mary’s destiny. From First-Years to Future Leaders This weekend, Saint Mary’s College welcomes a massive first-year class to campus, one of the largest in decades. Planning to welcome this many new students to campus was months in the making, beginning with recruiting this group of talented and diverse women. We welcome our first-year and transfer students to the sisterhood of Saint Mary's College. New Club Brings Awareness to Asian American Pacific Islanders May marks Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to raise awareness and educate others about AAPI culture. Avery Lazaro ’26 recognized the need for this kind of awareness at Saint Mary’s. “It has been my mission in leadership positions to spread awareness of our underrepresented communities on campus, and that includes AAPI,” Lazaro says. In 2024, she made good on that mission by launching the Asian American Pacific Islanders club on campus. First-year Student Takes a Top Prize Sofia Dolan ‘26 entered Saint Mary’s College with a desire to fully immerse herself in the campus community. In late September, an invitation to participate in the McCloskey New Venture Competition from Stacie Jeffirs, director of the Career Crossing Office, piqued her interest. Her eagerness to be an engaged student on campus led her to submit an idea to the competition hosted by the Idea Center at the University of Notre Dame. Dolan’s answer to the call provided a transformational experience for her as a first-year student, and, on top of that, the EquiCorp Award for the Best Undergraduate Venture In Honor of LAX Seniors The culminating event of the four years of academic effort for students is Commencement. The culmination for student athletes is that last game of their senior year. What happens when those two events collide? Twins Together at Saint Mary’s College is a time for independence, change, and a brief separation from your family. Announcing the Raise Your Voice Symposium Saint Mary’s recently announced the lineup of events for its inaugural symposium dedicated to combatting sexual violence. Raise Your Voice: A Sexual Violence Symposium spans one week, April 6 to 13, with a series of speakers, exhibitions, and discussions that are free and open to the tri-campus and broader communities.
