Multiethnic Graduation Celebration Address
Delia Garcia ’93 gave the address at the 9th annual Multiethnic Graduation Celebration. Garcia is director of communications for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and serves on the College’s Board of Trustees. The Office of Multicultural Services and the Student Diversity Board hosts the event.

Saint Mary’s Receives Bequest of More Than $6 Million for Angela Pro...
Saint Mary’s College gratefully announces a gift of more than $6 million from the trust of Mary Lee Sheftic ’58. It is one of the largest bequests in the history of the College. Sheftic’s gift will endow a scholarship in her name and provide resources for the renovation and expansion of the Angela Athletic & Wellness Complex. College leaders will honor Sheftic and recognize her gift at a private reception today at 3 p.m. in the north lobby of the Cushwa-Leighton Library.

Saint Mary’s College President Carol Ann Mooney ’72 honored Mary L. Burke ’85, chair of the Board of Trustees, with the President’s Medal at a dinner held in Chicago on May 5. The President’s Medal is presented rarely and exclusively to those who have offered exceptional contributions to the life of the College and society.

ALMA, Mich. - The bounces did not quite go the Belles' way as the Saint Mary's softball team lost 2-1 in eight innings against top-seeded Alma and 5-0 against Trine to be eliminated from the MIAA Tournament on Thursday.

FREELAND, Mich. - Cassie Young became the third Saint Mary's softball player in program history to earn Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Most Valuable Player accolades as she, Jamie Young, and Morgan Raymer were all recognized with All-MIAA honors as announced by the league on Thursday.

Discussion on Body Image and Self Esteem for Mother and Daughter, May ...
The Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership at Saint Mary’s College is proud to present “A Discussion on Body Image and Self Esteem, a Mother-Daughter Conversation” on Saturday, May 21 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in Regina North Lounge. The discussion will be led by Saint Mary’s communication studies professors Terri L. Russ and Marne Austin as well as psychologist Milene Jeffirs. The event is free but ticketed. 2016 Outstanding Senior Award Recipient Announced
Every year Saint Mary’s College honors three categories of seniors as exceptional representatives of their graduating class. The valedictorian(s) reflects the mind, the Lumen Christi Award recipient represents the soul, and the Outstanding Senior embodies the heart of the class. The Saint Mary’s College Alumnae Association is proud to announce the recipient of this year’s Outstanding Senior Award is Eleanor Jones ’16. She will be honored at the Alumnae-Senior Champagne Brunch on Monday, May 9 as part of Senior Week festivities leading up to Commencement, Saturday, May 14. Jones will graduate magna cum laude with a degree in global studies.
