January 5, 2026 On Confidence, Community, and Finding Her Calling Growing up in Chicago, Maggie McNabb didn’t know too much about Saint Mary’s College. But one campus visit changed everything. Today, Maggie is living in Portland, Maine, teaching while pursuing her master’s degree through Boston College’s Urban Catholic Teacher Corps, and carrying Saint Mary’s values into classrooms and communities far beyond campus. The daughter of alumna Lisa Reed Peppers, who has worked at Saint Mary’s for 37 years, Emily says this early exposure created that sense of belonging. “Even before I formally attended Saint Mary’s, it already felt like it was my second home." January 3, 2026 From the Soccer Field to the Finance Floor Rose Stackhouse came to Saint Mary’s from St. Charles, Illinois—just outside Chicago—after being recruited to play soccer. She arrived curious (and a little hesitant about a small all-women’s college), and left with something bigger: a tight-knit community, confidence in her voice, and a career she loves. Today, Rose lives in Chicago and works at Ulta Beauty, where she supports financial planning and analysis for the company’s supply chain and distribution network. January 3, 2026 Taking a Leap—And Finding Her Place Princess Mae Dela Rosa Visconde came to Saint Mary’s College from Hawai'i without ever having visited campus. Since then, Quinn has earned several promotions which have taken her to New Hampshire, Connecticut, Upstate New York, and now Chicago. Today, she serves as a sales activation manager, leading top line communications to Gallo distributors across 11 states.  January 2, 2026 From First-Gen Student to Civic Leader Alexia Velazquez came to Saint Mary’s College from Texas as a first-generation student, unsure of what college—or adulthood—would really look like. Today, she lives and works in South Bend as a program manager for the City, while staying deeply connected to the Saint Mary’s community.  December 23, 2025 A Young Family’s Commitment to What Matters As a student, Renee Wolbert Baumgartner ’10 joined the fundraising team at Saint Marys. She learned through her work that any gift can make an impact. This is the 14th year for the conference, and thanks to the passion of Katherine Higgs-Coulthard, it continues. "More than anything, I want attendees to feel renewed in their passion for writing. Get Inked encourages writers to focus on the areas that they want to work on, to prioritize their own creativity, and to find support from other writers.”
