In the play, the “Littlest” Dream-Giver struggles to heal the heart and haunted memory of a young boy named John. Littlest, who is full of love, empathy, and perception, has a delicate or gossamer touch in the giving of dreams. Social Work Majors Serve Community (South Bend Tribune) As seniors, social work majors spend each semester completing a field placement assignment, also known as a practicum, or a practical course of study. When the students are in their junior year, Leonard Sanchez, the Saint Mary’s field practicum coordinator, reviews the students’ specific interests and skills and interviews them. He then matches them to locations, such as schools, hospitals and nursing homes, where they work about 16 hours per week.
