Political Science Professor on "Right to Work" Stalemate (Fox 28)
Fox 28 interviewed Patrick Pierce, professor of political science, about how and why many Democratic representatives did not show up at the Statehouse this week as the legislative session got underway. The big issue? Right to Work Legislation. Pierce says Democrats don't like the bill because it will weaken worker’s unions. “The Republicans quite rightly recognize that if they can weaken those unions they can significantly weaken those Democrats and that’s why they’re going to bat on this issue,” Pierce said.

Last-Second Bucket Lifts Belles Over Ravens
ANDERSON, Ind. - For the second time in three games, the Saint Mary's basketball team got a game-winning basket with three seconds left. This time, Ariana Paul hit a jump shot in the final seconds to lift the Belles to a 63-62 win at Anderson University on Tuesday night.

Belles Open 2012 With Pair of Wins
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Saint Mary's softball team opened the 2012 campaign with a pair of wins in the Sunshine State on Sunday. The Belles took a 5-2 decision from Stevens Institute in nine innings before defeating SUNY Potsdam 12-7 later in the afternoon.
