Belles Finish Fourth at Southwestern
GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Saint Mary's golf team finished in fourth place at the Southwestern Invitational after a 342 team score on Tuesday.

Belles Finish 22nd at Pre-National Race
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Saint Mary's cross country team finished 22nd in a big field of 30 teams at the Rose-Hulman Gibson Family Pre-National race on Saturday.

Outstanding Senior Award Recipient Announced
Saint Mary’s College is proud to announce the recipient of this year’s Outstanding Senior Award is Anabel Castañeda, a double major in political science and communications from Oak Park, Illinois. She will receive her award at the Alumnae-Senior Champagne Brunch on Monday, May 14.

Upcoming grads can breathe a little easier. Their odds of snagging a job upon graduation, while not as good as five years ago, are certainly better than last year. Experts say colleges and universities are much more cognizant these days of what businesses are looking for. UPDATE: Moreau Open for Classes/Business after Small Fire
Moreau Center for the Arts will be open for classes and business on Monday, November 5, after a small fire in a basement storage room early Saturday, November 3. No one was hurt and firefighters are investigating the cause. The fire will not affect next weekend's production of the musical “The Secret Garden.” The musical will be performed Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10 in O’Laughlin Auditorium.

There will be a candlelight service for National Day of Mourning and Remembrance on Tuesday, September 11 at 9 p.m. on the Library Green, west of the Cushwa-Leighton Library. The public is invited to attend.

Poli Sci Professor on Recent Santorum Wins (WSBT-AM)
Political science professor Sean Savage offers his insights on the outcome of Last Tuesday's Republican presidential primaries in the deep south. Presidential candidate Rick Santorum clinched Alabama and Mississippi and Newt Gingrich did better than Mitt Romney in those states, which surprised Savage.
