January 2, 2012 South Bend Chamber Singers to Share “Music for a Sacred Space” The South Bend Chamber Singers (SBCS) will close out the ensemble’s 23rd concert season with “Music for a Sacred Space” on Sunday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto on the Saint Mary’s campus. January 2, 2012 Madrigals Coming Nov. 30-Dec. 2 (WNDU-TV) WNDU-TV was on campus for a preview of the music department's 40th annual Madrigal Dinners. The Madrigals is a Renaissance-style Christmas season banquet and performance. Those attending can expect to see colorfully attired singers, instrumentalists, jugglers and a jester. January 2, 2012 Winter Wonderland to Offer Christmas Cheer to Area Children Saint Mary’s College students will host Winter Wonderland for children affiliated with South Bend public schools, the Center for the Homeless, and Robinson Community Center on Saturday, December 1 from 1-4 p.m. in the Student Center. January 2, 2012 Saint Catherine Medal Awarded to Third-Year Student Saint Mary’s College President Carol Ann Mooney presented Carla Leal ’13 of Brownsville, Texas with the Saint Catherine Medal at Honors Convocation on Sunday, May 6. Each year, Saint Mary’s College awards the Saint Catherine Medal to a sophomore or junior who has demonstrated high standards of personal excellence and scholarship and has contributed to the College community in the spirit of Christian leadership.
