Saint Mary’s College lives out our commitment to nurture and support our community. We bring together students and teachers for programming outside the classroom in our three Centers of Distinction. Together, the centers fund visiting scholars, travel and research grants, campus initiatives, and venues in which all of Saint Mary’s can gather for dialogue and learning.

Center for Academic Innovation (CFAI)
Your education benefits from the great innovations in learning, scholarship, and teaching initiated by the CFAI. This center administers faculty research and teaching grants and directs the Student Independent Study and Research (SISTAR) Grant.

Center for Spirituality (CFS)
You’ll have opportunities to practice your faith and learn more about it through programming at CFS. As a Catholic college, Saint Mary’s joins the academic discipline of spirituality with the daily activities of living a faith-filled life. The Saint Mary’s community, along with alumnae and friends of the College, can address and become educated in contemporary religious issues here.

Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership (CWIL)
CWIL carries out Saint Mary’s commitment to promote women as leaders and empowers them to make a difference in the world. It provides a forum for addressing issues of social justice and diversity. CWIL also engages women in intercultural learning on campus and in the local community, as well as throughout the state, the nation, and the world.
