Find a Community
A graduate degree should be more than just a diploma or credentials. At Saint Mary's, it is more. Your grad school experience combines top-level academics and a focus on innovative thinking and practices. It also grants you access to an intellectually stimulating community who will become peers for life.
Your Academic Cohort and Alumni Network
Saint Mary's College graduate students come from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. While united by the mission, culture, and rigorous education offered by Saint Mary's, each person’s unique experiences strengthen the professional capabilities of the cohort. Our close-knit Alumni Network live and work around the world, and are a vital source of professional connections for our current students.
Community Partnerships
You can expect to make an impact in an area in great need of your services. Thanks to extensive community partnerships (Saint Mary's has approximately 150 affiliation agreements in Speech Language Pathology alone!), you'll be able to make a dent in this shortage while gaining firsthand experience working with clients. Area organizations like LOGAN, Lighthouse Autism Center, and the Readiness Center benefit from our graduate students' care and expertise.
Clubs and Organizations
When enrolled in the Graduate Studies program at Saint Mary’s, you have access to unparalleled opportunities for involvement. We have over 510 clubs and organizations between Saint Mary’s and Notre Dame that are available to you. There’s also plenty of room for leadership growth as wel. The Graduate Student Association (GSA) was formed to provide a voice for the graduate student population here on Saint Mary’s College campus. With a growing number of graduate programs offered, the GSA provides representation for all incoming and current students.
Volunteer Opportunities
Help make the world a better place by expanding your knowledge and contributing your skills to an area of need. The Office for Common Good offers many ways for students to get involved, including continued community service, experiential learning opportunities, one-time volunteer events, special speakers, and events related to community engagement.
