Savage notes that Bock faces a tough road ahead in his attempt to unseat incumbent Republican Jackie Walorski in the fall. Add to that the fact the 2nd District has been redrawn to favor a Republican candidate, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee considers the race a long shot, and it's clear the odds are not in Bock's favor. South Bend Chamber Singers to Share “The Beauty of Brahms” The South Bend Chamber Singers (SBCS) will conclude its 25th anniversary with a concert entitled The Beauty of Brahms to be held on Sunday, May 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Church of Our Lady of Loretto on the Saint Mary’s campus. Valedictorian and Commencement Speaker Announced (The Observer) This week, Saint Mary’s College announced details of its 167th Commencement, which will take place at noon on Saturday, May 17 on Le Mans Green in front of the iconic Le Mans Hall. The 2014 valedictorian is Brianne Michaels, a computational mathematics major from Valparaiso, Ind. The Commencement speaker is Judith Mayotte, a humanitarian, professor, author, and Emmy Award-winning television producer.
