NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's basketball team took full advantage of a big crowd in their home finale on Senior Day with a 68-49 win against Kalamazoo on Saturday.

Green Tabbed MIAA Defensive Player of the Week
ROYAL OAK, Mich. - Saint Mary's sophomore defender Kerry Green was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in games played through September 16.

Library Staff Builds Christmas Tree of Books (WNDU-TV)
An 8-foot Christmas tree made entirely of bound periodicals is on display in the Cushwa-Leighton Library. It is made up of more than 1350 volumes. The tree took 18 hours for library staff to construct over a 6-day period. The staff had to disassemble it two times before they got it right. The “star” on top of the tree is the book titled “A Child Asks for a Star” written by former Saint Mary’s College President Sister M. Madeleva Wolff, CSC.
