Saint Mary’s College chemistry students, dressed as mad scientists, will host a Halloween Magic Show for South Bend-area children on campus at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 30. The public is invited to attend and children are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. Kids will get to do some hands-on experiments and then watch the college students conduct some on stage. The first-year class will be the largest class on campus, with 440 women, and it'll be the most diverse in the history of Saint Mary's. In addition, for the first time, the college is offering the, "four-year graduation promise." Students who follow the guidelines are guaranteed to graduate in four years or the college will pay for any additional courses a student needs toward their degree.
