Students who have a credit balance on their student account may be eligible to receive a refund. Generally, a credit is generated when a student has received payments that exceed the charges on their account. Although a student may have a credit on their account, they may not be eligible to receive it until a certain date due to Federal Aid guidelines. For questions regarding this, please contact the Student Accounts Office at (574) 284-4730 or email us at studentaccounts@saintmarys.edu.

Students can request their refund by clicking and submitting the online form here

We request all students who are receiving a refund to set up direct deposit. This is the fastest and most secure way to receive a refund. Instead of waiting for checks to be mailed, refunds can be sent directly to your bank account.

Note: Banking information stays on file from term to term, so you only have to sign up once. Your bank account information is confidential and cannot be accessed by Saint Mary’s College staff.

To set up Direct Deposit:

  • Login to TouchNet (go to my.saintmarys.edu portal)
  • Click on "Electronic Refunds" under "My Profile Setup" on the right side of the page
  • Click the green "Set up account" button
  • Enter banking account information
  • Read ACH agreement and click "I agree" button
