Carole Barskis Weber '64

Committed to public service, voting access, and exploration of the world.

Her Story

Carole credits her commitment to public service and social justice to Sister Madeleva, under whose guidance many in her class went on to lives of public service and global exploration. In that spirit, Carole has been an avid volunteer with the League of Women Voters since the 1970s.

Carole also credits Saint Mary's for her love of travel, both because Saint Mary's enabled her to study abroad in Japan and because her trip to Peru in 2000 with Saint Mary's alumnae was her first big trip in decades and reignited her love of travel. Since that trip she has also gone to Spain and France with Saint Mary's.

Carole came back to Saint Mary's after graduation to become assistant director of Donor Relations. Since graduating, Carole has attended every reunion and has sometimes organized them. She'll be coming back this summer for her 55th!
