Her Story

Through both her work as student body president in her senior year, her work and leadership with Saint Mary's College Dance Marathon, and her continued leadership on the BOLD Committee, Maureen has contributed a significant amount of time and talent in making an impact on Saint Mary's College. She managed to do the first two tasks while as a Political Science and Mathematics double major; she also completed two senior comprehensive projects as a part of this process as well.

Maureen served as student body president in our senior year, showing great leadership to our class and also facilitating one of the highest senior gift campaign participation rates for graduation. She also raised thousands of dollars for the College's dance marathon initiative. As an alumna, she remains very active at the College, including serving on several committees such as local alumnae clubs (i.e., South Bend and Indianapolis), Dance Marathon alumnae group, and Belles of the Last Decade (BOLD) committee. Maureen also often returns to campus to share her story with students, including Justice Fridays with the Justice Education Department, to share the importance of a liberal arts education with First Year students and their parents, and to lead a workshop at the annual Diverse Students’ Leadership Conference.
