Summer Event Manager

The Campus and Community Events office is looking to fill three full time Summer Event Manager Positions.  We are looking for hospitable, energetic, and flexible employees to assist our office with summer weddings, camps/conferences, and office needs.  Listed below are some of the many advantages and expectations for the job:  

  • Work directly with summer clients on campus
  • Junior administrative position
  • Excellent business experience and valuable resume building responsibilities (e.g. scheduling, supervising and customer service)
  • Full-time
  • Excellent time management
  • Regular shifts throughout the week and weekends.
  • Compensation: Weekly Pay, housing and food (when the dining hall is open)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate
  • Enrolled for college credit
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment

Front Desk Assistant

The Campus and Community Events office is looking for hospitable applicants to staff campus facilities for summer events.  Saint Mary’s strives to provide the best customer service to all campus guests.  This position will play a key role in providing that service.  Listed below are some advantages and expectations:

  • Work front desk of the residence halls or other campus facilities
  • Check in/out registered guests staying in the residence halls
  • Keep a log of all activity at facility
  • Monitor resident halls and provide general campus information to summer guests
  • Availability to work one or more of the three shifts (7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm and 11pm – 7am) offered
  • Flexible schedule mixes well with other off-campus part-time jobs
  • Part-time
  • Potential to work with other part-time job schedules
    • Compensation: Hourly Pay

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled/graduated high school (16 years or older)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of Saint Mary’s College campus
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment
