January 28, 2013 SPARK Screening Feb. 22 for Next Session of Entrepreneurship Program The Saint Mary's College Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI) is proud to announce it will host its fourth session of SPARK, an eleven-week entrepreneurship training program for women in the Michiana community. SPARK will take place from March 5 to May 16 and is intended to assist under-resourced, high-potential entrepreneurs to “spark” or launch successful businesses. For the first time, SPARK participants can choose between morning or evening classes. January 2, 2013 Student Boosts Girls' Self-esteem with "Girls' Club" (WSBT-TV) Sarah Hossfeld '15, a nursing major, started "Girls' Club" this summer at St. Margaret's House, a day center in South Bend. The girls, 8-14, did activities and participated in outings that boosted their self-esteem and challenged them to consider their futures after high school. The program was highlighted by WSBT-TV after the release of "The Status of Girls in Indiana 2013," a report compiled by Saint Mary's students and faculty about the well-being of girls in Indiana.
