“Prince Among Slaves,” a Documentary and Discussion
The Cushwa-Leighton Library at Saint Mary’s College is proud to present a film screening and discussion of the film Prince Among Slaves on Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in Vander Vennet Theatre on the ground level of the Student Center. Facilitating the discussion following the film will be A. Rashied Omar, research scholar of Islamic Studies and peace building at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame.

Drama "Rabbit Hole" to be Put on by Theatre Students
The Saint Mary’s College Theatre Program is proud to announce Rabbit Hole as the 2013 spring production. Performances will take place in Little Theatre, Moreau Center for the Arts, at 7:30 pm, Thursday, Feb. 28 through Saturday, March 2 and at 2:30 pm on Sunday, March 3.

Women in Science: Biology Professor Follows Her Passion (Sassy Magazin...
Who says women aren't as good as men in math and science? That's a stereotype that is shattered at Saint Mary's College. Cassie Majetic, assistant professor of biology, is one of three local female professors interviewed for this article. She talked about being drawn to science and encouraged by teachers to follow her passion. At Saint Mary's, new scholarships in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), plus a large donation to renovate Science Hall will encourage students to study science.

Belles Earn Team Academic Award
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Saint Mary's soccer team was one of 593 women's collegiate soccer players from NCAA Division I, II, and III and NAIA to earn the 2012-13 Team Academic Award.

"First Book" President to Speak at Commencement (South Bend Tribune)
Kyle Zimmer, president and chief executive officer of First Book, a non-profit organization that provides new books to children in need, will be the speaker at the Saint Mary’s College Commencement on May 18. Zimmer was named 2007 Outstanding Social Entrepreneur of the Year in the U.S. by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.

A gift card is often seen as a "home run" present, but there are some things to be aware of if you plan to purchase any. Richard Measell, assistant professor of economics, offers some cautions. Center For Spirituality Welcomes Speaker as Part of “Women & Spirit�...
The Center for Spirituality at Saint Mary's College is proud to welcome Sister Sandra Schneiders, IHM to campus for her lecture titled “The Future of Religious Life”. Prom for Cancer Patients and Survivors to be Hosted by Students
The Saint Mary's College student club Stand Up to Cancer will host a prom open to local cancer patients and survivors of all ages on Saturday, March 2. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. The theme for the dance is “Don’t Stop Believin’: Dancing in Honor of Your Courage.” This is the second year for the prom.

Senior Day Success for Belles Against Brits
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's soccer team ensured only positive memories of Senior Day for the four members of the Class of 2014 as the Belles won a 1-0 contest at home against Albion on Saturday.
