"First Book" President to Speak at Commencement (South Bend Tribune)
Kyle Zimmer, president and chief executive officer of First Book, a non-profit organization that provides new books to children in need, will be the speaker at the Saint Mary’s College Commencement on May 18. Zimmer was named 2007 Outstanding Social Entrepreneur of the Year in the U.S. by the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.

Economist Offers Advice on Gift Cards (ABC-57)

Center For Spirituality Welcomes Speaker as Part of “Women & Spirit�...
The Center for Spirituality at Saint Mary's College is proud to welcome Sister Sandra Schneiders, IHM to campus for her lecture titled “The Future of Religious Life”. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for Saturday, September 24 at 11:30 a.m. in O’Laughlin Auditorium. Prom for Cancer Patients and Survivors to be Hosted by Students
The Saint Mary's College student club Stand Up to Cancer will host a prom open to local cancer patients and survivors of all ages on Saturday, March 2. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. The theme for the dance is “Don’t Stop Believin’: Dancing in Honor of Your Courage.” This is the second year for the prom.

U.S. Program Encourages Foreign Female Students to Dream Big (Chronicl...
Saint Mary’s College hosted a U.S. Department of State Study of the U.S. Institute (SUSI) for Student Leaders on Women’s Leadership for 20 undergraduate women from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Mongolia, and Burma (Myanmar) June 16 to July 20. The Chronicle of Higher Education featured the College’s institute in an article titled “U.S. Program Encourages Foreign Female Students to Dream Big.”
