Campus Visit FAQ

The Saint Mary’s College Campus Visit Program provides a unique experience tailored to a prospective student’s individual interests. Prospective students and their families are encouraged to take a student-guided tour of campus, meet with a member of our admission staff, and spend the night with a current Saint Mary’s student (high school seniors only).

While on campus, students are also invited to visit a class, meet with a professor or coach, and attend a cultural or sporting event. These activities give prospective students the opportunity to experience campus life and the individual attention they will receive as Saint Mary’s students.

Your student hostess will welcome you, take you to dinner, invite you to join her in any meetings or residence hall activities that she may have scheduled, and perhaps even take you to a class or two. Consider bringing a sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, and bath towel. Over night visits are reserved for senior high school students only.

Attend a Class

Are you curious about what a typical college class is like?  Take this opportunity to sit in on a first-year level class. Let us know what subject(s) you are interested in, and we can arrange for you to sit in on a class or two. We also recommend meeting with a professor to learn more about the major or program you are considering. Please call at least two weeks prior to your visit to schedule a classroom visit.

Meet Athletic Coaches

Saint Mary's College currently participates in the NCAA, Division III, Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. If you want to learn more about Basketball, Cross Country, Golf, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball, and Cheerleading and Dance squads, let us know and we will schedule an appointment.

Meet with Campus Ministry

Are you looking for ways to pray, build a spiritual community, grow in faith, and work for justice? Are you of another faith and are wondering how you can fit into our spiritual community, or are you simply wanting to find a place to worship in the South Bend community? Then take the opportunity while visiting campus to meet with our Campus Ministry team. A two week notification period is helpful when scheduling appointments.
