We Support our Veterans

In support of our nation’s veterans, Saint Mary's is proud to be a sponsor of the Yellow Ribbon Program. This program provides additional assistance to cover tuition and fees not already covered by the Post–9/11 GI Bill. Some veterans may qualify to transfer their eligibility to their children.

Eligibility for the Yellow Ribbon Program

You might be eligible if you meet one of the following:

  • You are eligible for the maximum benefit rate of the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
  • You are a dependent of a veteran eligible for Transfer of Entitlement under the Post-9/11 GI Bill and that veteran is eligible for the maximum benefit rate.

Yellow Ribbon Program Details

  • Since 2010, Saint Mary's College has provided Yellow Ribbon Program funding to all eligible undergraduate students.
  • The maximum Yellow Ribbon Funding from Saint Mary's College will be up to 50% of the tuition and fees not covered by the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
  • The Yellow Ribbon Program only provides funding for tuition and mandatory fees. It does not cover books, housing, etc., although students receiving Chapter 33 will receive a monthly housing allowance from the VA.
