Eligibility

1. Students must have been a residential student for 6 semesters or a transfer student who has lived on-campus at Saint Mary’s for 2 semesters prior to August of residency. Time abroad counts toward the residency requirement.

2. Students must be approved for graduation AND participation in the May of residency commencement ceremony.

3. Student must be in good financial standing at the time of verification.

4. Student must be in good academic standing at the time of verification.

5. Student must be in good disciplinary standing, not placed on disciplinary probation during their time at Saint Mary's.

6. Any student not meeting the above listed requirements will not be eligible for the Opus lottery process.

7. If a member of your group is deemed ineligible for Opus, the remaining group members will have 48 hours to find an eligible replacement. If an eligible replacement is not found, the group will be eliminated from the Opus lottery.

8. Students who are deemed to not be in good academic, financial and/or disciplinary standing after being selected for and/or living in Opus will be reassigned a housing placement. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Residence Life at reslife@saintmarys.edu
