How to Apply for Housing
How it Works.
Housing selections are based on a lottery system for admitted students and that order is determined by how quickly you deposit AND complete the housing application. First priority is given to early decision applicants but making the choice to come to Saint Mary's and committing with your deposit quickly really makes a difference.
If you're not yet admitted to Saint Mary's you need to start by applying to become a student. Once you apply on the Common App, our admission counselors will review your application and can also help you through the process. Remember, we're here to help so feel welcome to reach out if you have questions!
Here are the Three Steps.
Step 1: ASAP!
If you haven’t already, submit your enrollment deposit to confirm your attendance and activate your official Saint Mary’s email address. Then check your email inbox for a link to the online housing application and profile. Once enrolled in our online housing system, you’ll be able to meet other Belles, exchange information, and hone your profile. As a first-year student you'll also want to check out Regina and McCandless Residence Halls. Each of the two halls have their own social personalities, room styles, and amenities. Use the links below to get familiar with each, check out floor plans and room layouts, and see what might be the best fit for you!
Step 2: Late Spring
If you already have a roommate in mind, enter her information in your online housing profile or use our system to find compatible roommates. You still have time to update your profile so it’s a good time to double check all your information and select your preferred rooms.
Step 3: June 2 and 3, 2020
When given access (based on the housing lottery), log in, and choose your exact room. This information will come to you via your official Saint Mary's email account so be sure to check it regularly. (Remember, the earlier you deposit and complete your housing application the better your odds of getting your selection!)
Now start packing!
