Memorial and tribute gifts are a wonderful way to remember family and friends who hold a special place in your life.  Any gift can be made in memory of or in honor of a loved one. Tribute gifts also provide a meaningful way to celebrate special occasions and anniversaries.  Saint Mary's offers several special remembrance opportunities.

Alumnae Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established in 1994 by past and current members of the Alumnae Association Board of Directors, this endowed fund provides scholarship assistance to current students. Preference is given to relatives of alumnae. Gifts to this fund are recognized once per year in the Courier.

Memorial Tree Program*
BenchThe Memorial Tree Program was founded by the alumnae to beautify the "barren grounds" surrounding Le Mans Hall. The dedication of a memorial tree continues today as a loving remembrance and living memorial for the deceased members of the Saint Mary's family. A tag is displayed on each tree with a memorial inscription and the name of the species. Site and species selection are conducted in consultation with the donor, the family, and the College.

Teakwood Bench*
Both useful and graceful, teak benches are built to endure and provide perpetual tributes for members of the Saint Mary's family. A plaque for a personalized inscription is included for display on each bench. Site selection is conducted in consultation with the donor, the family, and the College.

*Currently, our memorial tree and teakwood bench programs are temporarily paused as we reevaluate the programs as part of our overall planning. If you are interested in participating in either of these programs in the future, please contact to be added to our waitlist. Thank you for your understanding.
