Beauty, Justice, and Faith in Action
July 10 – 15, 2022
July 17 – 22, 2022
Join a community of high school girls on the beautiful campus of Saint Mary’s College. Choosing from two sessions, this six-day residential institute explores theology and spirituality, especially the themes of beauty and justice, while showing you ways to put your faith into action.
At the Embody Theology Summer Institute, you will learn how to practice faith and act justly to build beloved communities.
Throughout the week, you will
- Learn about the connections between Theology and Justice
- Recognize your true beauty as created and beloved by God
- Practice true self care
- Participate in spiritual practices
- Put faith in action
Saint Mary's College students serve as mentors, helping you learn how to live out all that you have seen and heard. Participants in Embody have a variety of faith backgrounds, and are interested in deepening their understanding of the world around them.
Each week of our Embody Theology Summer Institute is limited to 30 participants. Applications will be accepted until spaces are filled. Participation is open to high school girls entering grades 10 – 12 in the fall of 2022. Students who are accepted into this competitive program may apply for full or half scholarships.
Vaccinations are required to participate in Embody, including being up-to-date with the COVID-19 vaccination. The COVID-19 guidelines for the Summer Academic Institutes could change, depending on current conditions. Learn more.
The Dialogue and Democracy Academic Institute runs concurrently with the first week of the Embody Summer Theology Institute. It is possible to apply and be accepted for both programs and remain on campus for two weeks.
